Passageway
-Underground, otherground, or a place for feeling freedom.
-Passageway is the topic that tries to represent the hidden life of society from the second layer to the front. In political hardship, people learn through history to hide some parts of their lives, to protect and retain parts that are essential to living and being free.
-In this thesis, I tried to encapsulate more about the underground culture in the context of architecture to represent the subconscious and layers of disguise in a prototype.
-underground art and music movements are mostly illegal and they are known for being inviting, and in some way intellectual. They try to go against the mainstream culture which is why this is the main difference from other legal parts of underground culture in this zeitgeist.
-My main question is to investigate how the underground cultural place provides a sanctuary for self-expression and a sense of belonging and security.
-The aim is to redeploy architecture technology to produce a prototype of a multi-dimensional underground archive as a new approach in the context of representation in architecture. like documenting, and archiving the lifestyles of a movement in the specific era in Tehran/Iran.
This goal is possible with the new technique of simulating to show what architecture does as an underlay and influence the shift in society.
