Mat-Building, Open Spaces, and a Playground, Considering Creativity
Orphanages are usually based on providing shelter and food for children. Do you think that when these children reach the age of youth, they can be useful and successful people in society outside of these orphanages? Designing special spaces for children is important because, around the ages of three (3) to eight (8) years old, the child's imagination is going to be realized. In these years, the child is influenced by the environment, so it is necessary to pay attention to the development of the child's creativity in the early stages of the child's development. The use of environmental abilities affects children's minds and behavior, and its approach is to promote their creativity and also provide architectural principles for children's design.
An architect must understand the child’s space and desires, while also addressing their needs and problems with appropriate solutions. When designing educational spaces, it is essential to consider various factors that can enhance motivation and creativity. This includes optimizing the acceptability of the space and its components, incorporating a mix of open and closed spaces, and integrating natural stimulating elements such as light, water, and plants.
Merging a playground with a building can lead to a creative and engaging architectural project, resulting in a unique and functional space that seamlessly blends recreational areas with the building's design. The style of mat building is being considered for this project, as it allows for the incorporation of multiple functions.
